When I read good reviews, I always wonder if there is some prior connection between the reviewer and the agent. Definitely not in this case: we hadn't met John or Kylie before commissioning them. In early discussions, John nominated a figure that he would target, and I was sceptical that the estimate might just be marketing hype. It wasn't: John delivered on the figure to the exact dollar. We are very pleased with the result. John also predicated that the house would sell pre-auction: again, John was right in his prediction. We followed John and Kylie's advice on the best way to prepare and present the house, and the house looked great as a result. Some of the tradies nominated were outstanding, and excellent value-for-money. The free colour consultancy regarding the painting was highly valued. Throughout the process, John and Kylie continually delivered. In any agency arrangement, there are opportunities for the agent to cut corners and minimise their time and inconvenience. There were those opportunities in our case: however, John always put his ethical obligations to us as the sellers first. For example, in following one piece of advice, we largely covered the cost of John's commission on that piece of advice alone. John and Kylie were outstanding in the quality of their communication, especially in the final stages of the contract. Nothing was left to chance, and we were fully informed along the way. In short, John and Kylie did an outstanding job, and we have benefited greatly.

From the first time I met John Higgins I was impressed by his wide knowledge and grasp of the real estate industry in general. So, when I decided to put my Newtown property on the market I gave the task to MyPlace. It was a good choice. John, and Jim Fleming who, as a Newtown specialist, took on the detailed arrangements and went ahead with energy and enthusiasm.
